EL RUGBY BIENVENIDO EN VATICANO – PAPA FRANCISCO CON LA CAMISETA DE LOS PUMAS

El Papa Francisco recibió en la Sala Clementina del Palacio Apostólico a los seleccionados de rugby de Argentina capitaneados por el N° 8 de Santiago del Estero Juan Manuel Lequizamón y de Italia, capitaneado por el N° 8 de La Plata, Sergio Parisse y fue un encuentro simpático para el Santo Padre como emotivo para los visitantes que mañana se enfrentarán en duro encuentro en el Olímpico de Roma, distante apenas dos kilómetros por la avenida Viale Angelico.

El Papa con gran predisposición recibió presentes de ambos capitanes y mantuvo una conversación distendida con los forwards como los pilares argentinos de Italia, Matías Aguero y Martín Castrogiovanni que mañana jugará su 101° cap (partido oficial) y cuando el capitán Sergio Parisse (que también disputará su 101° cap)  le dió la pelota ovalada, se iluminaron los ojos al Santo Padre que agradeció sonriente.

Entre los mármoles y los frescos de la Sala Clementina que solo mirarlos quita el aliento apareció el Papa quién recibió el aplauso cerrado de los Azzurri y de los Pumas. Todos juntos , en nombre del rugby y de la solidaridad.

Ya había sucedido el 14 de agosto con los seleccionados de fútbol de Italia y Argentina, que también se enfrentaron en el Olímpico romano y que fueron recibidos por el Papa.

"Nos sentimos muy a gusto porque al Santo Padre le gusta el fútbol como al rugby y nos contó que “le encanta la esencia del mismo”, contó el pilar porteño Marcos Ayerza que fue su monaguillo en Buenos Aries y con quién volvió a encontrarse después de tantos años.

Lo mismo ocurrió con los siete argentinos que militan el el seleccionado italianio como Parisse, los cordobeses Gonzalo Canale y Luciano Orquera, el rosarino Alberto Di Bernardo, el mendocino Gonzalo García y lógicamente con Castrogiovanni y Agüero. "Estábamos todos tan emocionados que en mi caso no pude resistir a abrazarlo", dijo Aguero.

Los pilares  se destacan del resto de los quince jugadores del rugby, en el Vaticano porque en el 2001, en víspera de un test entre Italia e Irlanda (el 3 de febrero de 2001), el entrenador neocelandés de "Irlanda, Warren Gatland aludiendo al pilar Peter Clohessy, resaltó: “Esperamos que Peter ( Clohessy, dijo sobriamente , "el club" en lugar del seleccionado) no pregunte al Papa Juan Pablo II si lo puede confesar porque de lo contrario nos quedaremos dos días en el Vaticano", ante la risa del circunspecto seleccionado del Trébol (el “Shamrock”).

"El Papa nos habló de la solidaridad y del trabajo en equipo que los principal para el rugby  como para la Iglesia y nos pidió que oraramos por él, y por trabajar en equipo en el Vaticano", dijeron al unísono ambos capitanes muy emocionados.

Papa Francesco ricevette nella Sala Clementina del Palazzo Apostolico le nazionali di rugby dell’Argentina guidata dal n ° 8 di Santiago del Estero, Juan Manuel Leguizamón e dell'Italia, guidata dal n ° 8 di La Plata, Sergio Parisse. Incontrare il Santo Padre fu di molta emozione per i visitatori che domani si troveranno ad affrontare partita difficile nello stadio Olimpico di Roma, distante solo due chilometri lungo il Viale Angelico.

Il Papa ha ricevuto con grande disponibilità di entrambi i capitani i presenti e mantenuto una conversazione rilassata con gli avanti argentini in forza nella squadra azzurra come  Matias Aguero, Martin Castrogiovanni (che giocherà domani il suo cappello 101 cap), ed  il capitano Sergio Parisse (anche lui il 101 cap) che ha dato la palla ovale al Papa Fracesco che con gli occhi brillanti ha ringraziato sorridente.

Tra i marmi e affreschi nella Sala Clementina solo guardarli provoca il  mozzafiato, é apparso il Papa che ha ricevuto gli applausi di Azzurri e dei Pumas. Tutti insieme, in nome del rugby e della solidarietà.

Era accaduto nel mese di agosto (il 14) con le nazionali d calcio dell’Italia e dell’Argentina, che ha anche giocarono nell’ Olimpico romano e sono stati ricevuti dal papa Francesco.

"Siamo molto lieti che il Papa ama il calcio come il rugby e ci ha detto di "amare l'essenza di esso", ha detto il pilone di Buenos Aires Marcos Ayerza che era il suo chierichetto a Buenos Aries e che si incontrano di nuovo dopo molti anni .

Quindi, lo stesso è accaduto con i sette argentini che giocano nella nazionale azzurra: Parisse, Gonzalo Canale e Luciano Orquera di Córdoba, Alberto Di Bernardo diRosario. Gonzalo García di Mendoza e logicamente Castrogiovanni e Aguero . "Eravamo tutti così eccitati che nel mio caso non ho potuto resistere un abbraccio", diceva Aguero.

I piloni si distinguono dal resto dei quindici giocatori di rugby anche perche in Vaticano nel 2001 alla vigilia di test-match Italia-Irlanda (3 febbraio 2001), l'allenatore dell’ Irlanda il neozelandese Warren Gatland alludendo al pilone Peter Clohessy, aveva commentato: "Speriamo che Pietro (Clohessy diceva sobriamente, "The Club" invece di nazionale) non chiedere al Papa Giovanni Paolo II, di confessare perché altrimenti ci fermeremo due giorni in Vaticano" Rideva tutta la nazionales dello "Shamrock” (il trifoglio).

"Il Papa ha parlato di solidarietà e lavoro di squadra per il rugby come per la Chiesa e ci ha chiesto di pregare per lui e per il lavoro di squadra in Vaticano", hanno detto all'unisono entrambi capitani eccitati.

Le Pape François a reçu dans la salle Clémentine du Palais Apostolique les séléctions de rugby de l'Argentine menée par le n° 8 de Santiago del Estero, Juan Manuel  Leguizamón et de l'Italie menée par le n° 8 de La Plata, Sergio Parisse et était un agréable rencontre a quinze avec le Saint-Père, émotionnelle aux visiteurs que demain devront faire face à match très dure au stade Olympique de Rome, éloignés seulement deux kilometres par l'avenue Viale Angelico.

Le Pape a reçu avec une grande volonté les deux capitaines présents et a maintenu une conversation détendue avec les attaquants argentins en tant que piliers de l'Italie, Matias Aguero et Martin Castrogiovanni (jouera demain son 101^e cap) et lorsque le capitaine Sergio Parisse (également lui son 101^e cap) a donné le ballon ovale, les yeux brillants pour le Saint-Père que a remercié sourire éclairé.

Parmi les marbres et les fresques de la Salle Clémentina, seulement regarder à couper le souffle est apparu le Pape qui a reçu les applaudissements des Azzurri et des Pumas. Tous ensemble , au nom du rugby et de la solidarité.

La même chose s'est produite avec les sept Argentins qui jouent por la squadra azzurra: Parisse, Gonzalo Canale et Luciano Orquera de Córdoba, Alberto Di Bernardo de Rosario, Gonzalo García de Mendoza et logiquement Castrogiovanni et Aguero . «Nous étions tous tellement excité que dans mon cas, je ne pouvais pas résister à un câlin", dit Aguero.
